In Person

Unwind & Travel the World (in One Class!) (2:30 PM Start) Join us for a unique and restorative yoga experience that will take you on a global journey, all while supporting a great cause! Program: 2:30 PM - Arrival & Welcome: Enter VIDA Fitness on U Street. Join us in the beautiful inner fitness studio on the top level and settle in. Mingle with fellow yogis and learn more about the AZAHAR Foundation's work. 2:45 PM Classtime Part 1: Flow with VIDA (25 minutes): David Yu, a 375-hour Certified Jivamukti teacher and VIDA Fitness instructor, will guide you through a beginner-friendly yoga session focusing on sun salutations that will energize your body and mind. Part 2: Breathe with our Rwanda Team (25 minutes): Experience a calming breathwork session led by AZAHAR teachers virtually in Rwanda. This session is similar to those used in our programs to promote self-love, community building, and well-being for our Rwandan students who are new to yoga. 3:35 PM - Auction & Connection: Take time to unwind after your yoga practice. Participate in our silent auction featuring relaxing self-care items, and connect with fellow yogis and AZAHAR representatives. Any issues? Call or Text Laura at 617-943-5813 Attire: Wear what's comfortable for you! While workout clothes are great, anything that allows for movement will work. Accessibility: This class is designed to be inclusive for everyone. All poses can be modified, and you're welcome to practice them seated in a chair if that feels best for you. Feel free to participate in all or part of the class, listening to your body's needs. What to bring: We'll provide all the yoga mats and props you'll need for class. However, you may want to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the session.
